As you will know from our Home Page, Family Horizons aims to BLESS FAMILIES. Let me remind you what we say about blessing.

God has chosen to bless all the families of the earth.
That includes You and Your Family.
Yet many of us live as if family doesn’t work, or is even a curse!
At FAMILY HORIZONS we are committed to helping you turn your family into the blessing God intends it to be.
Do you want to be blessed? Do you want your family to be blessed? Would you like to see healing in your home? Would you like to see love between all the members of your family? Would you like to have burdens lifted out of your home and family? 
Only God can bring the blessing you need.
Here at Family Horizons we work with the Word of God and the People of God to BE A BLESSING and to help you be truly blessed.
 

To help you BLESS your family we have prepared several blessings which you can pray over your family members.

THE HIGH PRIEST’S BLESSING
God instructed Moses to have the High Priest, Aaron, confer a blessing on God’s people.
Aaron’s descendents, the future High Priests, and the priestly line, were to continue to use this blessing.

Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying,
This is how you are to bless the children of Israel, saying to them ..........



THE GREETING OF BLESSING
It is polite to share a friendly greeting when we meet people and our loved ones.
Best of all it is good to speak a BLESSING over them.
In the Philippines children returning home from their studies or work will go to their father and ask him to bless them. You may be able to incorporate more blessing into your speech, by speaking blessings when you greet people.
Consider the example from Boaz, great-grandfather of King David.

“And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers,



THE SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY BLESSING
The Bible indicates that humans are made up of three parts, Spirit, Soul and Body.
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1Thessalonians 5:23

The Bible links the Spirit to the idea of an “inner” person that provides strength to your whole being.
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.” Ephesians 3:16

The Bible speaks of the soul being restored and also of the soul prospering.
“He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 23:3
“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” 3John 2

The Bible also speaks of our physical body being kept alive by the work of the Holy Spirit within us.
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make alive) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.” Romans 8:11

With these Biblical truths in mind Dr Field created the following Spirit, Soul and Body Blessing
